Thank you very much and I am so glad you and your horse are having grand, happy success. Your thoughtful words will inspire me since I've promised myself to finish this project. Thank you again for taking the time to let me know. <br />p.s. - I completely agree - Kate at A Year With Horses is a horsewoman of the very best sort!juliettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17488138405040629084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-53055473343624293942013-09-04T13:49:57.969-04:002013-09-04T13:49:57.969-04:00Your blog (along with Kate's over at A Year Wi...Your blog (along with Kate's over at A Year With Horses) has changed the way I am with my horse. For the better, by far. In particular, giving him adequate time to warm up, remembering to "fit up" gradually. He is much happier, I think, and I am, too. This last post was just so thoughtful. I so much appreciate the time it must take you, and that's why I agree that it deserves to also be in a book. When you publish your book I will get 50 copies and plant them around the barn--one in every tack trunk!! This post was also great because you talked about the basic principles, like one person said, "zen". So I sent the link to my sister and my niece, even though they are not horse people. You are a courageous pioneer and a good writer. You're doing a lot to help horses and their people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-76600709873324124352013-09-03T20:32:46.410-04:002013-09-03T20:32:46.410-04:00Thanks Imel! It can be so difficult but practice and experience can help. Your photos are lovely and remind me of the Christina's world painting. xxKristen Eleni Shellenbargerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01458744919530540978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-19260689371797450132013-09-03T16:03:28.247-04:002013-09-03T16:03:28.247-04:00love love love your blog thank you so muchlove love love your blog thank you so muchAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-17705578410057115472013-09-01T21:57:25.388-04:002013-09-01T21:57:25.388-04:00Hey Once Upon!!! Lots of ideas, quick notes, blog posts with book hope, and also a great publisher and book art ideas, but not very good at time organizing to write lately. All my fault - a little frazzled with Maizie's big life now and that outside world pulls me away from the computer! And I understand completely about horses/showing and systems of beliefs and behaviors. I think when you're inexperienced, it's hard not to buy in to a system - it gives you rules, structures and a plan - but once you've learned that it isn't necessary it gives you the freedom - and responsibility - to construct something else that works for you - and to change and adapt it as you need - rather than buying in to some system of a trainer or a coach or the accepted way of doing things. You go girls!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
