I am ...I hope summer isn't leaving us just yet! I am so loathe to see Sept roll into view even though I know it is a beautiful month and I should welcome it with an open heart. In the horse world, fall is so perfect. And yet, still I cry over the end of summer like an infant! I love your apple story! We have an apple tree in our backyard and two years ago we had bushels and bushels of apples. So many ended up in the compost pile! An embarrassment of riches. I know it is probably very annoying when Sovey acts up and is naughty, but you weave it into such a good story! even a naughty horse is fun in your blog! (don't let Sovey know!)

I know what you mean about happening upon some colorful pictures online without meaning to. One time I was trying to find out more about the French Open, and that too brought up a French girl or two...and they were not playing tennis!!

The bus at 637am?? that sounds worse than Chinese water torture. It cannot possibly be healthy. Sometimes school administrators are nuts.
That bareback saddle thingy looks unlike any one I have ever seen before! What is it made of?

Happy New School Year to both you and Maizie.baystatebrumbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00157539477153261305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-45108799287322556462010-08-20T14:05:37.569-04:002010-08-20T14:05:37.569-04:00Oh, I hear you on the summer nights ending early.....Oh, I hear you on the summer nights ending early..I literally HATE IT!!!! I wish for sun 24 hrs a day! :( It makes the nights too long and I love love love being at the barn late in summer nights. Darn.
That bareback pad looks like a Parelli type pad..I have found some decent bareback pads on ebay in fun(ish colors) in suede/fleece for around $60.Kristen Eleni Shellenbargerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01458744919530540978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-81164615162295880772010-08-19T22:08:40.972-04:002010-08-19T22:08:40.972-04:00Best riding time of the year coming up - fall! But then winter comes :(
My apple tree problem is our two labs - they LOVE apples and it's hard to get them home when we go for a walk on the beach and have to pass the apple trees on the beach road. It's like a steak tree to them!Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17207626703988850059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-65864178534785327812010-08-19T10:19:47.859-04:002010-08-19T10:19:47.859-04:00That bridle is not a bridle really, but a drop nos...That bridle is not a bridle really, but a drop noseband caveson.
The saddle is actually a bareback pad kinda like this one but in suede http://www.training-horses-naturally.com/bareback-pads.htmlAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14523660446608394720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7632474743706899336.post-58199165827635924732010-08-19T06:58:54.015-04:002010-08-19T06:58:54.015-04:00Heading for fall - it's not as light in the mo...Heading for fall - it's not as light in the morning either. I do think I remember having something terribly icky happen to me too once, on the net, putting in an innocent word like Bareback...So sorry!

It has been darn right HOT here too...90 to 100 for over a week. WHEW! I got to go to the barn today..and it was only 74 but-my mare was hurt!
I'm a bit mad too...sent msg's all day long to the barn owner..nothing..I sent her husband one too..nothing. It is is so sad, especially since our summer never really "officially" started until mid July, weather wise!
Very interesting saddle, I have never seen one like it before. Will be interesting to know what you find out.
I can't believe that Maizie's bus was going to be picking her up at 6:37 in the morning! That is just way too early!Paint Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05095673661149903754noreply@blogger.com
